Generator has been designed to play back all mainstream media file types, including:

Preset Templates

In order to overcome the complexity of layout and the onscreen positioning of items such as Picture-in-Picture, Tickertapes and External Data a series of preset layout templates will be supported.

Reporting

All critical activity will be recorded in a running log file, which will be available to Genesis for upload. This includes:

• Proof of delivery, this logs the successful receipt of all material and play-lists.
  
• Proof of screening, this logs the successful start and completion of all play-list.
  
• All reports are exportable to .csv files for incorporation into other programs.
• Picture-in-Picture

This feature allows external AV feed/s to be placed inside a 'window' for a set duration of time.

• Uses TV-Tuner cards or can accept any AV input (i.e. DSTV decoder)
  
• The preset i.e. template, duration, channel selection using RS232 to decoder.

Genesis is the controlling server for all Móbila Generator and Móbila Genie clients on a network, this server based application takes care of all the scheduling, distribution and reporting tasks needed by a large scale media network.

Genesis has been developed with scalability in mind, it is able to schedule and control anything from one individual site up to thousands. A key feature of Genesis is the ability to host multiple client sessions, allowing for extensive schedule changes to be made to a large network quickly and efficiently.

This feature allows remote instructions to be sent to a Generator, this includes the following:

• RS232 Commands, used to switch devices on/off, or switch modes etc.
  
• Reboot Generator
  
• Pause for set duration, or until event occurs
  
• Set system clock
  

Tickertapes

This feature emulates the scrolling information banner found at the bottom of a news channel, i.e. CNN, Sky News.

• User definable (by template) position on screen.

Widgets are a new feature of Generator which allow the playback of external data sources within a customised format or template. This provides a framework for media owners to sell branded wallpaper for items such as News Headline, Currency rates, Business News and Weather.

The Open architecture of Generator also makes it possible for additional Widgets to be developed to meet customer needs.
